Smith’s Consumer Products, Inc., which makes a full line of manual and electric knife, scissors and tool sharpeners as well as an expanding line of kitchen and grilling tools, today announced that Troy Davis has been appointed Vice President of Marketing. As a member of the firm’s executive team, Davis will lead the company’s worldwide branding initiatives and oversee marketing, advertising, public relations, consumer and trade promotions, social media and digital strategy, and marketing research. He joins the marketing team of Russ Cowen, Sporting Goods and Hardware Marketing Manager and Melissa Moore, Housewares Marketing Manager.

Davis brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing strategy and execution, product and channel marketing, brand development, advertising, social media marketing and retail merchandising. Prior to joining Smith’s, Davis served as Director of Marketing for The Evogi Group and has held executive level marketing positions of increasing responsibility with Macy’s, Inc., Kraft Foods Group Inc., Wells’ Dairy Inc., ConAgra Foods Inc., and Sargento Foods, Inc. Davis holds a BA in History from Sam Houston State University and an MBA from The University of Iowa Tippie School of Management.
