Bauer Pottery Company Showroom Opens in Tokyo

Masa Sakurai of Try-Up Corporation, in partnership with Bauer Pottery Company, will distribute Bauer pottery and Russel Wright American Modern dinnerware in Japan.  Sakurai will spearhead wholesale sales in the country.  The partnership can already boast orders from United Arrows (80 stores), Ron Herman (11 stores & cafes), Early Birds and Planet Blue, with more coming in each week.

Sakurai’s affection for the company and its products can be seen in the care he has taken to reproduce the look and feel of Bauer’s Los Angeles showroom.  A similar orange door, corrugated siding and faux distressed sign were added to the outside of the building in Tokyo.  Inside, his crew replicated much of the reclaimed wood shelving, industrial carts and tables, and even the wall-sized color chart from the L.A. location.  The showroom, located in the Asakusa District of Taito City, opened with a celebration on May 29 of this year.
